Secure file sharing for accountants and finance teams

How accountants, bookkeepers, CFO teams, and finance operators can collect and send sensitive files without email chaos or AI training concerns.

    7 min readUpdated May 2026

    Who this is for

For accountants, bookkeepers, finance teams, CFO offices, tax preparers, and operators handling sensitive documents.

Finance files are small until they are not

A finance exchange can start with one PDF and turn into bank exports, scanned receipts, payroll files, signed statements, invoices, tax packs, spreadsheets, and board reports. Email threads become difficult to audit, and shared folders often expose more than the client intended.

A private link keeps each exchange focused. Send the file, request the missing documents, and keep the final version where it can be found later.

    Collect documents without chasing clients

File requests are useful for recurring collection: monthly receipts, yearly tax documents, supplier invoices, signed forms, ID scans, or exported reports. The client receives one upload link and does not need a Sandra account.

The request should be specific. Ask for the exact period, file type, and deadline. A clear request is cheaper than three follow-up emails.

    Privacy matters beyond encryption

Financial files can reveal salaries, cash flow, contracts, tax positions, vendors, identities, and company strategy. They should not be profiled for ads, indexed as content, or used to train AI models.

Sandra is not against AI. But financial documents are not training data. Sandra treats transfers, uploads, and Vault files as private customer content.

    Keep final documents in Vault

After a tax return, audit packet, board deck, signed invoice, or financial report is delivered, the final version should be easy to find. Vault is useful for keeping approved documents separate from temporary transfer links.

That matters when a client asks for the same file months later, or when a teammate needs the final version without digging through old email.

    Quick answers

Can clients upload finance files without an account?

Yes. Sandra file requests let clients upload through a private browser link without creating an account.

Does Sandra use financial documents to train AI?

No. Sandra does not use finance files, tax documents, transfers, uploads, or Vault files to train AI models.

Is a private link better than email attachments?

For sensitive or large files, a private link gives more control over access, expiry, and delivery than loose attachments.

What finance files belong in Vault?

Final reports, signed documents, invoices, tax packs, board decks, and files you may need to retrieve or resend later.
